Poor Chris. All she wanted was to be a fairy tale princess.

Reply makogun2000, March 1st, 2016, 5:22 pm

@Visitor: Well you know what they say about what you wish for, and being careful with your statements...

Reply Guest, March 1st, 2016, 9:17 pm

@Visitor: Technically she didn't really want to be the fairytale princess that much, she just wanted to prove that she was more of what was expected of her and that was the best way. Then to much was expected of her and Rumple was happy to take advantage of he misfortune.

Guys, I think Chris might've been the Skull Kid in this little Majora's Mask comparison.

Reply Literas (Guest), March 2nd, 2016, 1:14 pm

You've clearly awoken the MamaBear, Fair. That usually doesn't end well for the person on the receiving end.

I'm curious how (or if) this is going to lead back to guessing his name.

Reply Ultimate the Hedgehog, March 2nd, 2016, 3:23 pm

I know she won't kill him because that'd be the end of the story, but I hope some damage is done.

Reply Nice-ness, March 2nd, 2016, 3:33 pm

She's right. There's nothing more annoying than someone who acts like they know everything.

Reply Sapar, March 2nd, 2016, 6:21 pm

Holy shit does she look crazy in that first panel.

Reply Riverfox237 (Guest), March 3rd, 2016, 11:33 am

Ah, yes, she's finally snapped. About time, too, I'm surprised she put up with his bull for this long.

Reply chaos-of-vinnie, March 4th, 2016, 3:08 pm

I don't know who to root for!

Reply Broktus (Guest), March 4th, 2016, 6:15 pm

Loving this development with Chris- chuck morality out the window and just fight for what's important. I honestly don't care who wins, this is fantastic.

Reply Nice-ness, March 5th, 2016, 10:24 am

@Broktus: Depends on your point of view. Isn't fighting for your son the moral thing to do? ^^;

Reply Guest, March 5th, 2016, 3:43 pm

@Broktus: This doesn't depend on your point of view at all, unless you toss morality out the window. In listening to what the Fair's been saying, you've forgotten the circumstances as a whole. The fair deliberately manipulated a teenager into selling away her firstborn child. She didn't want to agree to it, but she was lost and confused and scared. That someone would do this to anyone is just sick. And now she's fighting to protect her son. I'm pretty appalled at how many people in the comments here think that giving your child to a manipulative stranger is the "right" thing to do just because you made a "deal" with said stranger. What a horribly twisted sense of right and wrong.

Reply Broktus (Guest), March 5th, 2016, 8:09 pm

@Nice-ness: I was talking about the deals Chris had made with Rumple and whether he was in the wrong for manipulating her or whether it was her fault for not wanting to live with the consequences of her actions.

@Guest: Ok, see, we can argue over which one of them is right and which of them is wrong all day long. What I appreciate about Chris and Rumple is that they've both come to the conclusion that they both are at fault, and are now fighting for Gabe regardless of whether or not they deserve to have him.

Reply Ultimate the Hedgehog, March 5th, 2016, 8:14 pm

@Broktus: Dude, it's pretty cut and dry. Yeah, she made a deal. Yeah, he technically saved her life.
No, that does not mean he owns her nor her son.

Reply Guest, March 7th, 2016, 10:29 pm

@Broktus: The situation here is very straightforward. When a kid takes a candy/ride from a stranger do you blame the kid for being kidnapped? When someone falls for a scam do you blame them or the scammer? Yes she was dumb, yes she could have avoided this situation, but that doesn't change the morality of the situation.

Actually, Chris an Rumple have not "come to the conclusion that they both are at fault."

Chris doesn't care who is at fault at this point. She only cares about protecting her son. Blame isn't a concern for her.

Rumple has justified his behavior by convincing himself that she "deserves it." This matters to him because it means he doesn't feel guilty when he tortures people.
The way he treats her is cut and dry abusive.

It's sick that there people out there who think that it's ok to scam or hurt people just because their scam requires the victim to make a dumb choice.

Reply Broktus (Guest), March 8th, 2016, 4:54 pm

@Guest: Fair point. I guess what I meant to say was they're both at fault, though Chris isn't necessarily morally wrong. Like I said- we can argue morality and the like all day and probably well after this web comic ends, but I appreciate Chris's "screw it" attitude.

I got halfway done writing my comment when I realized Rumple is justifying himself, but he also admits that he's a pretty mean guy, so I just left it as-is.

I expect the next three pages to be unintentional Gurren Laggan memes (the best memes)

Reply Guest, March 7th, 2016, 11:49 am

Chris has gotten pretty bad ass Unfortunately she's in a magic fight with a true being of magic. He literally lives and breathes this stuff. She is not going to win.

Reply Morgana (Guest), March 7th, 2016, 6:24 pm

@Guest: Maybe, but he has stated in the past, thar fairs are more "delicate" than humans, so maybe, if she manages to punch him (or phisically damage him in any other way), she might ba able to actually harm him.

Reply Broktus (Guest), March 8th, 2016, 4:49 pm

@Morgana: Ideally that would work, but do you really think he's gonna let her get close?
