The answer is... She's still a commoner really, like me~ I'm touched that folks noticed that she held her fork with her right hand unlike the king and prince.

Right isn't right? ...You're supposed to hold a fork with your LEFT hand? That's so uncomfortable!

I'd be just about as good at holding a fork with my left hand as I would be at writing with it. And that's saying something. Have you ever tried to write with a fork?

Reply theInsaneArtist, November 20th, 2015, 11:02 am

@Takeshre: That would be when cutting food. It's more you're supposed to hold the knife in your right hand (more control, assuming you're in the right-handed majority.)

Am I the only one that isn't uncomfortable holding a fork with their left hand?

Reply IcyPheonix (Guest), October 28th, 2015, 10:08 am

@Ultimate the Hedgehog:
Naw I do it too, fork in the left, knife in my right. Despite being right handed.
At least for cutting food. Once it's cut I switch hands, moving the fork to my right hand.

Reply Wyld (Guest), October 28th, 2015, 11:18 am

@Ultimate the Hedgehog: the idea is that you're using your right hand for the knife so you can cut, the left hand holding the fork is just to hold the food in place while your right hand does the work

otherwise, holding the fork in the right hand is quite natural :) it's just when cutting that it'd be awkward (unless yer a lefty, in which case it might possibly be more comfortable... but these formalities were invented by righthanded people)

@Ultimate the Hedgehog: I'm perfectly fine with the fork in my left hand. In fact, I'm the opposite. I can't cut with the knife in my left hand.

Reply Ultimate the Hedgehog, October 29th, 2015, 3:11 pm

@RandomHobo: I dunno, it's always just been fork in the left for me.
Even when I have no knife.
Same goes for spoons. Spoons are supposed to go in the right hand. I always hold a spoon in my right hand. Even as a little kid I never really questioned it. Unlike my brothers, I did it pretty naturally.

@Ultimate the Hedgehog: I have no issues, but I'm actually left handed, so I wouldn't.

You know something is wrong with some individuals when a simple petition for a little bit of solitude is met with so much nagging and surprise.
