@Oishi17: maybe

Reply Claude (Guest), January 6th, 2015, 10:39 pm

I actually feel really bad for him. All because he's ugly? He helped you.come on,no need to flip shut.I mean am I the only one that feels this way?

Reply ahehafgaer (Guest), January 6th, 2015, 11:02 pm

@Claude: I doubt it was because he was ugly.

Reply Viper (Guest), January 6th, 2015, 11:32 pm

@Claude:
i think she was hoping he was the fair from her youth, the blonde guy

Reply Halosty (Guest), January 7th, 2015, 12:25 am

@Viper: On the other hand, we don't know that he's *not*. After all, if masks are faces, who says faces have to be faces?

Reply rainfish, January 7th, 2015, 2:39 am

@Halosty: If it is him but he's using a false face then that would be pretty cruel~

Reply Harangue (Guest), February 17th, 2015, 1:08 am

@rainfish: Maybe he has no choice.

Hell, maybe it's the same guy, but he's inhabiting some sort of new body or something. It seems totally random for him to appear to and help her otherwise.

Reply Dumah, January 7th, 2015, 2:58 am

@Halosty: Maybe that's the way Fairs age--instead of their hair losing color, it darkens?

Reply Maia (Guest), May 20th, 2015, 6:04 pm

@Dumah: or maybe they steal children, have them grow up then take their body, Fairs age faster then humans? which is why he want Christine's child? o.o

Reply Visitor, January 7th, 2015, 8:30 am

@Claude: Not because he's ugly. Because he exploited her and wasn't who she thought he was.

Reply HIdden, January 7th, 2015, 10:32 am

@Visitor: She was not exploited. She did it of her own will and paid for her own bloated ego.
Also it was she herself who assumed he was someone else, and not him leading her to it.

Reply MilkyTea, January 7th, 2015, 5:15 pm

@HIdden: While She is a fantastic screw up, "of her own will" doesn't apply when deception and desperation come into play.

Reply HIdden, January 14th, 2015, 7:27 pm

@MilkyTea @Visitor:
He did take advantage of her misfortune, but he also gave her the chance to get out of it without compensations. Chris herself decided to stay, and that she was »meant for greatness«, it was the illusion of being what she was not, or the desire to make believe that led to her depending on the fair once again. Her desperation and misfortune were on her own account, at least after the first time.

Reply MilkyTea, January 14th, 2015, 8:15 pm

@HIdden: Actually, he never did ANYTHING without compensation. XD; Actually I wouldn't be surprised if he planned it to play out that way, considering we know he's been creeping on her and how his demands escalated.

Reply HIdden, January 16th, 2015, 7:59 am

@MilkyTea: The question is, why would she expect him to? It was the same thing with the mask, she wanted to believe herself that he was someone she wanted him to be. I'd say she is even more so the victim of her own illusions than of his deceit. It is the same in real life, a great deal of the times people are deceived, it is because of their own illusions... of course there are then people taking advantage of that, no doubt, but we could not claim to be of no fault in the matter.

Reply MilkyTea, January 16th, 2015, 3:24 pm

@HIdden: *sniff sniff* hmn... smells like troll... :/ They never do their own research...

Reply Visitor, January 8th, 2015, 10:25 am

@HIdden: That's not what exploitation means.

He took advantage of her misfortune to coerce her into doing something she didn't want.

Reply Complete Stranger, January 7th, 2015, 3:19 pm

@Claude: Actually, I think it was less about him being ugly and more that not only is he not her childhood friend like she assumed, but that he has the EXACT same mask as said friend. If masks are like faces, then we can assume the mask he was wearing is definitely the one that belonged to the blonde friend. Now think about what he said earlier- if you see a mask with no owner, that means someone had possibly killed him and took his face.

If tall, dark-haired and not-very-handsome is to be believed, then worst case scenario, he killed Chris' childhood friend, stole his face, then used it to trick Christine on purpose. Which is kinda horrifying.

Reply Guest, January 8th, 2015, 1:51 am

@Complete Stranger: Horrifyingly H0ly though XD

Reply Ghosttoast (Guest), January 7th, 2015, 3:07 am

So like I was kinda expecting the mask to come off and handsome Squidward to appear but this works too ^_^

Also I think the older look is kinda working but y'know... :D

Anywayyyy, I'm not sure why Christine would want her childhood friend to be kissing her anyway, at the age she could see him she was a child and most likely would only see him as a big brother type... But that's just my opinion ^^ love the comic :D

Dang, I'm out $20 then

Reply Zelkova, January 7th, 2015, 8:27 am

I am finding it kinda funny that people think the issue is that he is "ugly". It is like they didn't even read the comic. Do you people seriously care about appearances (the ones that you can't normally change anyway) that freaking much?

Reply Guest, January 7th, 2015, 11:10 am

Great now all i can imagine is blonde Rumpy getting run over by a lawnmower like that pidgey in Mokepon...

Reply Artufex, March 17th, 2015, 10:52 pm

I'm prolly wrong, but I'm gonna guess that guy had her dad's face or something. We never got to see her dad's face in the flashbacks, at least not so far.

Aw this was a sad ending to the chapter, for all parties involved :(
