Someone actually told me that gold would really be pretty heavy when there's that much of it. ... To which I thought carefully and replied it's magic gold, DUH

As much as I love your facial expressions, I think the eye in the first panel really could do better. :\

@RazorD9: Heh. "Spin." Nice.

@PanTerPer: Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not...

Heh, let's see, about 30 of those rolled-up things were piled up in the previous page.

They're about hand-sized, sooo I think, compressed into a cube, the gold on one of those things would be about 125 cubic centimeters.

Normal gold is an astonishing 19.30 grams per cubic centimeter (19 times as heavy as water) so one of those things would weigh about 2.41 kilograms (5.31 lbs).

The pile of 30 would be 72.4 kg (160 lbs).

That's pure gold though. This threaded gold might be mixed with silk or something.
Or straw.
Or magic.

(125 cm³ as a compressed size is probably a low estimate, I made it assuming the spun up string isn't very dense)

I Got It! Guard: Where did you get all THAT?!
Chris: My ass...

@Metastriker: THAT IS PURE GENIUS! She should totally say that! XD

PS. -
Yeah, I can totally talk in your head now.
Side effect of Fae hugs, go figure. Don't worry, I'm sure this won't get weird.

Try to follow my logic, here... Legends tell of "Jack to beanstalk climber" who found gold-egg laying goose in the clouds.

.... So she should say she got it from a gold-silk laying spider... one she found in..... I dunno... Murkwood!

I keep catching up to all these great comics...

@The_mad_one: It also really depends on how densely it's wound up. I mean that thing could be mostly hollow.
